Demo #1 - 28/01/17 (#1)

by Mother Nature versus Father Time

/
1.
Father Time. Constructed by humans to oppress and control An unnecessary, restricting concept. We become obsessed and unwell at its beckoning call Rushing and dwelling and missing out on life. Too many minds, are destroyed by their fears of age The irony being that time slows you down. It's us that defined it, whilst it contricts us. If Time did not exist, would we still exist? If we did not exist, would Time still exist? Time slows you down. It contradicts itself every single day Reducing us to ants in a colony of loss Looking back with regret Dread the oncoming future Twisting your brain for no good reason Hating yourself Changing your plans Bound by the rules Choked by their hands Telling yourself you must be on time Every second counts but you don't. Manage your time for your manager's gain Give up your day and gather the pain Money for old rope to hang yourself with What good is this life if I can't even live?

about

This demo song was recorded live in Room 7 at Eiger Studios, Leeds, 28/1/17. It is the first take of the first song from our first ever jam together, and no riffs had been previously written, all on the fly, recorded into a phone. Tweaked a little, vocals added, ambient piece made afterwards at home. There are plenty more songs coming from this session...
